Position Title: Office Assistant
Classification: Part-time (5–7 hours/week); hourly, non-exempt
Reports to: Office and Facilities Manager and the Personnel Committee of the SessionPurpose

The Office Assistant provides administrative support for the daily operations of the church office.Responsibilities
1. Church Office and Facility Support
Greet visitors, receive deliveries, and answer phones
Support the Pastor with administrative tasks
Purchase office, fellowship, and janitorial supplies
Create in-house flyers as needed
Create and maintain schedules for Ushers and Greeters
Help recruit volunteers to serve as Ushers and Greeters
Order donuts on a monthly basis
Assist with managing facility and office equipment repairs
Help with congregational mailings as needed
2. Sunday Worship Service
Assist with Sunday bulletin preparation
Assist with sanctuary preparation for Sundays and special services
Ensure pews are clean and stocked with Connect Cards and Giving Envelopes
Help with seasonal decorating of the sanctuary (Christmas, Easter, World Communion Sunday)
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods
Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Administrative or clerical experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Detail-oriented
Ability to handle interruptions effectively
Problem-solving skills
